Palawan: Freakin' Unbelievable

Last week, we went to Palawan for a much-awaited vacation. WARNING: This is my blog so don't expect a lot of sceneries since most, if not all of the pictures below, are all about ME. :D

We stayed at Dangkalan Resort, a 20-minute drive from the airport.

Whatever. I just like this shot :))

The first day consisted of the city tour, but boo, it rained so the tour was not that great. Here I am being so brave to hold Kiko, but its eyes are so creepy I freaked out a little. Also, he was really heavy. (This was in Crocodile Farm. I regret not being able to buy the shirt that says "Hard cRock Cafe" HAHA)

I just posted this because I am still wondering how they can keep their mouths open for so long.

They have this in front of a shop that sells the works of prisoners from Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm. I really wanted to go there but it was not included in the tour :(

We ate dinner at Kinabuchs Grill. I think it's a very famous restaurant there since it is near the airport and the food was pretty great.

The next day was the Underground River tour. We first went to Ugong Rock since we had time to spare before going to the river. I thought we were just going sightseeing...

...but I was shocked we were supposed to wear a hard helmet and gloves. WTH?

The detour to Ugong Rock would have to be my favorite. We had to climb lots and lots of rocks, stairs and ropes. On the other hand, the adrenaline rush was absolutely amazing.

I was just glad that I did not add any scar to my collection. The zipline was broken so we had to climb our way down. If you're adventurous, the entrance fee of P200 is worth it.

We then went to the Underground River. This is what Palawan is most famous for.

On the way to the river, you can see monkeys and lizards freely roaming around.

This would have to be my favorite shot :))))

The river looks like a simple cave, but you have to see it for yourself to realize how utterly beautiful it is. It rained earlier that day which caused the water to look like that. We were told that they once accommodated  almost 1,500 tourists on one day. Legendary, since I think there is a maximum of 10 people per boat, the boat ride lasts for more or less 30 minutes, and they are only open until 5PM (?).

By the way, please vote for the Underground River to be included in the New Seven Wonders of Nature. PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE. You can vote here. Thanks :)

On our third day, we had the Honda Bay tour.

That's me prepared to go to the corals. I went back and forth three times, twice without a vest (Yeah, I'm mayabang like that HAHA). We fed the fish with monay and they liked it very much :))

We then went to Snake Island (not pictured) then to another island (well, it's actually a floating platform). We were not allowed to take off our vests. My Mom and Ninang Wilma did not want to let go of the rope.

On our first day, we played Word Factory. I won. Here, we played sungka. I won again. Never mind the billiards, though. :)

The day after, it was time to go home. This is me and my Dad's "please-stop-taking-pictures-can't-you-see-it's-so-init-and you-have-already-taken-593-photos-of-our-four-day-vacation" look.

In conclusion, all I can say is Palawan is really awesome. Go see for yourself :)
